Methods to Identify Congruent Triangles SSS SAS ASA AAS Side Angle Side We already know that if 2 polygons are congruent, then their corresponding sides and corresponding angles are congruent And, we know that if 2 polygons have corresponding sides and corresponding angles that are congruent, then the polygons are congruent! Side Side Side Angle Side Angle Angle Angle Side SAS - if 2 corresponding sides and the corresponding angle formed between two triangles are congruent, then the triangles are congruent SSS - if all 3 corresponding sides of one triangle are congruent to the corresponding sides of another triangle, then the triangles are congruent. ASA - if two corresponding angles and the corresponding side between 2 triangles are congruent, then the triangles are congruent AAS - if two corresponding angles and the non-included side of 2 triangles are congruent, then the triangles are congruent.
