The Marriage Prayer
Where does it come from?
Why does it matter?
A BIG IDEA: Your marriage
can show the
relational image of God
Another BIG IDEA:
Because of the gospel, we can risk being our true selves with another person.
What types of things do you look to for your “righteousness” (or credibility, self-worth, satisfaction, etc.)?

Reputation? Children? Work? Success? Time-Management? Helping Others? What else?
Marriage reveals what we W O R S H I P
After God, but before all others, make your spouse your top priority.
Conflict often comes when my spouse keeps me
from feeding my idol.
When God said, "Marriage brings security," I'm not sure this is what he had in mind...
How do we experience oneness? By selflessly loving our spouse the way Christ loves.
Marriage is a matrix for proving the paradox of the gospel...
We find our life when we lose it for His sake.
Building a marriage that reflects the image of God takes TIME.
Practical Step: Talk together and decide something you could do in the next few days to spend twenty minutes of uninterrupted time together.
Encouragement is the food of the heart, and every heart is a hungry heart!
Your marriage can show the world how Jesus loves the church - and bring Him GLORY!
