Since moving to Atlanta, I've become more aware of the importance of
overall wellness

Growing up, like many African-American girls, my mom used the usual suspects on my hair...

Ahhh, I still remember the sound of my hair sizzling and the smell of burnt hair,cherry and sulfur wafting through the house.

And away it went. After 10 years of "lye"ing to myself, I decided

was the way to go.

Unfortunately, as my hair got bigger, so did my body

Nonetheless, I felt
liberated
- even though some folks told me a natural appearance would hinder my progress.
