He dies when he had 39 years old.
Over forty years after his execution, Che's life and legacy still remain a contentious issue. The contradictions of his ethos at various points in his life have created a complex character of unending duality. “I KNEW YOU WERE GOING TO SHOOT ME; I SHOUKD NEVER HAVE BEEN TAKEN ALIVE, TELL FIDEL THAT THIS FAILURE DOES NOT MEAN THE END OF REVOLUTION, THAT IT WILL TRIUMPH ELSE WERE. TELL ALEIDA TO ORGET THIS, REMARRY AND BE HAPPY, AND KEEP THE CHILDREN STUDYING. ASK THE SOLDIERS TO AIM WELL.”

There was no person more feared by the company (CIA) than Che Guevara because he had the capacity and charisma necessary to direct the struggle against the political repression of the traditional hierarchies in power in the countries of Latin America. Despite his polarized status, a high-contrast monochrome graphic of his face has become one of the world's most universally merchandized and objectified images, found on an endless array of items, including t-shirts, hats, posters, tattoos, and bikinis, ironically contributing to the consumer culture he despised. Yet, Guevara still remains a transcendent figure both in specifically political contexts and as a wide-ranging popular icon of youthful rebellion.
