Transcript of Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys - Girl on Fire

Alicia Keys Nicki Minaj GIRL ON FIRE Girl on Fire sung by Alecia Keys featuring Nicki Minaj is single featured in Alicia's forthcoming album 'Girl on Fire.' The genre of this song is a mixture of both R&B and pop. There are two versions of the song only one (Inferno Version) stars Nicki Minaj the alternate version is a solo of Alicia flaunting her unbelievable vocal talent. Nicki Minaj created her verses that were included in one edited version of the single. Alecia is a well-known artist and songwriter before teaming up with Nicki she stated to her producer’s Bhasker and Remi for the idea of a song focused primarily on a powerful girl and her fortresses. Her inspiration for the song began after the birth of her first son which took place in Egypt with her Husband who is always a producer himself for ‘Swizz Beatz’. About the Album Why did I choose this song? Girl on Fire is a personal favourite that took my interest immediately since the first release on the radio just recently. Being a previous fan of both Artists' Nicki Minaj and Alecia Keys this was not less than amazing. The idea of the song message began throughout the birth of Alecia's son but within me it conveys an altered message. Personally the song indicates an influential and self-directed woman. A woman that would and could get through any challenge put in her way. The reason this song has inspired me was because it relates deeply to a close role model of mine. Margot Shoebridge, my Mother’s Mum. Although she has participated in a number of difficulties in her life with a positive outcome she has also juggled the family’s difficulties. Today she is the strongest person I have met and will always aspire to be like her. Spirit of Marilyn calling me, audibly
Bawling she, said that she would never leave
Continued to torture me
Telling me to come with her
Underneath my comforter
And she brought a gun with her
Pills and some rum with her
Tip me on the balcony telling me to jump with her
Yeah I'm in the ghost but I ain't doing stunts with her
I ain't tryna be that haters wanna see that
But I got 'em aggy cause I win the gold like Gabby She's just a girl and she's on fire
Hotter than a fantasy, longer like a highway
She's living in a world and it's on fire
Fill with catastrophe, but she know she can fly away

Oh, she got both feet on the ground
And she's burning it down
Oh, she got her head in the clouds
And she's not backing down Looks like a girl but she's a flame
So bright she can burn your eyes
Better look the other way
You can try but you'll never forget her name
She's on top of the world
Hottest of the hottest girls say

Oh, we got our feet on the ground
And we're burning it down
Oh, got our head in the clouds
And we're not coming down
This girl is on fire
This girl is on fire
She's walking on fire
This girl is on fire Everybody stands as she goes by
Cause they can see the flame that's in her eyes
Watch her when she's lighting up the night
Nobody knows that she's a lonely girl
And it's a lonely world
But she gon' let it burn baby burn baby Chorus Verse 3. [Alicia Keys] Verse 4. [Alicia Keys] Verse 1. [Nicki Minaj] Verse 2. [Alicia Keys] Abbreviated words Consistent message about feeling isolated even amongst a sea of people. Being on top of the tower but standing alone. Focus, dedication an limited proof of weakness in body language. My interpretation of the central message of the song Pressured into self harm When viewers don't approve of something or someone they would prefer not to appreciated their existence More abbreviated words Voice inside your head of a spirit Invisible suffering My interpretation of the central message is a female leader. Focused yet not forceful. Powerful and responsible. Capable of making big and right decisions. This song also gives me the impression that the woman is one of the most powerful people in the world but shes alone. The message conveys that she fights alone and stands for herself yet also wanting to seek company. This proves that being surrounded or even smothered in a number of people you can feel alone and abandoned. A simple chorus stating the woman is on fire but not physically but just an example to describe her personal power. Statement assuming people clear paths for her A vital message explaining her security on Earth An army of one Not abandoning herself Stating that the writer is capable to brighten a dark moment with her presence Invincible strength and won't allow a shortened life Thank you
