Should Public Schools
Require Students to
Wear School Uniforms? Quotes: Just think what good it would be to not have to worry about gangs, bullying, harassment, etc Now its your decision. Many students will argue that school uniforms
take away their individual rights. Well, it may seem
like it but it is not true. You can always express yourself in a different way other than the clothes you wear. (Hair, personality, etc.) "I think it is good that you don't have to wake up in the morning and worry about what to wear." Says Morgon Glon.
According to Marian Wilde, school uniforms...
-Help prevent gangs from forming on campus
-Encourage discipline
-Help students resist peer pressure to buy trendy clothes
-Help identify intruders in the school
-Diminish economic and social barriers between students
-Increase a sense of belonging and school pride
-Improve attendance What would you rather have? Should we have school uniforms? Having school uniforms will only help schools.
Statistics show that schools that require uniforms
are much safer environments where there is little
to no fighting or bullying for that matter. Would this really be all that bad to be
printed on a shirt that you had to wear? A safe environment, Or cute clothes? Yes! No!
