Lucille Ball "I Love Lucy" show Lucille married Desi Arnaz in November 30, 1940.Until 1960 when they divorced. Family Quotes Early Life Lucille Ball was born on August 6, 1911 in Jamestown, New York. Her father died in 1914, when Lucille was just 3. "I'm not funny, what I am is brave." "Luck? I don't know what luck is. I've never banked on it and am afraid of people who do. Her mother (Desiree),Lucille's brother Fred and Lucy go back to Jamestown, where her mother finds work and then meets someone named Ed Peterson. Then she marries Lucille's step dad, Ed Peterson. Facts Lucille's full name is Lucille Desiree Ball. Her show, "I Love Lucy" lasted for 6 yrs. Lucille had many nicknames:

Her parents moved away for awhile, so that meant that Lucille had to live with her stern and poor step grandma while her brother Fred went to his grandmother.(Desiree's mother) In July 17, 1951,Lucille's daughter Lucie Desiree Arnaz was born.
