Transcript of Animal Cell Compared to a school

How is an animal cell like a school? The principal controls everything in the school. Just like the nucleus controls everything in the cell. A nucleus is like the principal. much like a lysosome breaks down lipids, proteins, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids. Next, the lysosome's are like a custodian because a custodian takes care of garbage and breaks it down The Golgi body is were everything gets packed and sent out in the cell too. The Golgi Body is like a mail room. It's like a mail room because the mail room is where everything gets packed in sent out. The cafeteria is like the mitochondrion because that's where the kids eat and energy is made. The cell membrane is like the security because the
security controls who goes in and out of the school
like the cell membrane controls what goes in and out of the cell. The floors and halls of the school are like the cytoplasm because they are the interior of the school like the cytoplasm is the interior of the cell. The hall monitors of the school are like the endoplasmic reticulum of a cell because the hall monitors make sure the students get to were their going and they keep them moving like the endoplasmic reticulum moves proteins through the cell. The main office is like the nuclear membrane because the main office is where it's decided who is allowed to see the principal and who isn't. The walls of a school are like the cytoskeleton of a cell because the walls are the structure and support holding the school up walls The vice principals are like the nucleolus because the vice principals produce good teachers by keeping them in check and making sure they do good like a nucleolus produces ribosomes The teachers are like Ribosomes because they produce educated students like a ribosomes produce protein. Lockers are like a vacuole because lockers store stuff much like a vacuole does.
