worked in the Texas Air National Guard as a fighter pilot

I became president by winning the 2000 presidential election against democrat Al Gore
Served as president during 9/11 and the Iraq War
I declared an end to the Iraq war on May 1, 2003
Second Term (ended in 2009)

In 2004, I ran against democrat John Kerry and succeeded as president
I served my second term fighting the country's multi-trillion dollar debt
I settled down with my wife Laura in Texas
Was brought back into the spotlight after going to Africa with current president Barack Obama
On August 6, 2013, I underwent an operation in which a small balloon called a stent was inserted into my heart to prevent blockage in one of my arteries

I was born on July 6, 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut
My mother is Barbara Bush
George Herbert Walker Bush is my Father
Siblings: Jeb, Neil, Marvin, Robin, and Dorothy
Robin Bush died peacefully in the arms of my mother, Barbara Bush. She had been diagnosed with pediatric leukemia and passed away just before her fourth birthday.

I am the only president who has run a marathon
I owned the Texas Rangers baseball franchise from 1989 to 1994
I am the first president in over 100 years not to use a veto in my first term
