-Vincent Mazzella Socialization and the life Cycle Has anyone seen the first Harry Potter movie? What is Socialization? We all experience important life stages:
-childhood
-adolescence
-adulthood The Harry potter novels are based on the premise that there is no adventure greater than that of growing up. Although its based on a wizard school, it is still a school and everyone needs help developing values. Socialization: is the process where by the helpless infant gradually becomes self-aware, knowledgeable person, skilled in the ways of his or her culture Social Reproduction: the process whereby societies have structural continuity over time During the early years of a child's life, one learns the ways of their elders, thereby perpetuating their values, norms and social practices What Would children be like if they were raised without the influence of adults?
