Tidal power What is Solar Energy? One of the alternative energy sourse that comes from the sun.
It is converted into thermal or electrical energy. Pros and Cons of Solar Energy Doesn't pollute the air and the water in the Earth.

The amount of sunlight that arrives at the Earth's surface varies depending on location, time of day, time of year, and weather conditions. Where is solar energy used? It's used to provide heats and electricity.
It also can be used to heat water in homes or buildings
It heats the air inside homes greenhouses and other buildings. How is solar energy being used to
benefit the location? Solar energy is environmentally friendly. Compared to fossil fuels which release greenhouses gases, carcinogens and carbon dioxide, solar cells don't release anything into the air. The price of solar energy is the way cheaper than non-renewable energy sources. Solar cells make no noise while collecting energy. There are no other renewable energy sources that are completely silent. What problems have occurred because of the use of the solar energy? Solar energy doesn't harm the environment as much as non-renewable energy sources do. But it is not perfect. It can cause some problems. There are some toxic materials and chemicals, and various solvents which are created during the process of photovoltaic cells. Some insects and birds can be killed because of the concentrated beam of sunlight that is created by a solar tower. Wind Energy The energy source that
comes from wind, which is
caused by uneven temperature
on the Earth's surface. Pros and Cons of Wind Energy Wind energy is the cleanest renewable energy source.
Wind energy is provided as long as the sun shines.

The wind speed is not the same across the country. Requires careful planning Where is wind energy used? Wind energy is being used to generate electricity or mechanical energy by using wind machines called Turbines. Benefits of the wind energy No air pollution (with rare exception)
No water pollution (with rare exception)
No greenhouse gases
No depletion of natural resources

Tourism supported businesses suffer What is Tidal Energy? The energy which is created by the relative motion of the Earth, Moon, Sun, and the gravitational interactions between them. Pros and Cons of Tidal Energy The biggest advantage for tidal energy is predictability. The size and time of tides can be predicted very efficiently. In order for electricity to be generated, differences between high and low tides must consistently reach 16 feet. There are few regions in the world where this occurs. Where is Tidal Energy used? Tidal Energy is used to generate electricity. But there are only 40 locations in the world where tidal power is feasible.
And there are NO TIDAL ENERGY FACILITIIES in the U.S Benefit of Tidal Energy The turbines are built underneath the ocean, which means it doesn't occupy land.
It creates a lot of electricity since the water is 830 times denser than air. What problems are caused by Tidal Energy? Most notably, tidal power plants upset fish migrations and, by disrupting water flows, can upset entire estuarine ecosystems.

Tidal turbines however, because they do not block water flow, may be a viable answer to these concerns. What is Biomass Energy? Biomass energy is energy produced by burning biomass. Biomass is a broad category of material encompassing all the living matter in an area. Wood, crops and crop waste, and wastes of plant, mineral, and animal matter comprise much of an area's biomass. Much of this material is considered "garbage" and ends up in landfills. Pros and Cons of Biomass Biomass, like wood and garbage, ALWAYS exist. The carbon dioxide may be created, depending on thematerials that are burned. Where is it being used? Biomass are used to provide heats to house or industries

Biomass can be converted to other useable forms of energy, such as methane gas or transportation fuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel. Benefit of Biomass Using biomass as an energy sources disposes the waste-woods or garbages, as well.

Using biomass for energy may cut back on waste and greenhouse gas emissions. What problems have occurred because of the use of biomass? Burning biomass may result in more or less air pollution depending on the type of biomass and the types of fuels or energy sources that it replaces. Biomass like lumber mill sawdust, paper mill sludge, yard waste in household trash used for energy may avoid the use of fossil fuels such as coal or natural gas. Burning fossil fuels and biomass releases carbon dioxide (CO2), a greenhouse gas, but when the plants that are the sources of biomass are grown, a nearly equivalent amount of CO2 is captured through photosynthesis. What is Geothermal Energy? Geothermal Energy is the heat that comes from the inside of the Earth.
The magma that is in the Earth is the energy source. 1. Safe

5.One power plant can produce a lot of steam
by drilling more than one well. Advantages: Disadvantages:

1. May cause small after-shock earthquakes
2. Minor damage may take 1000 years to recover. Benefit of Geothermal Energy According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), geothermal heat pumps are the most energy efficient, environmentally clean, and cost effective systems for temperature control. What problems have occurred because of Geothermal Energy source? Geothermal energy is clean, safe, and energy efficient.
