Standards
NGSSS: Reading/Language Arts- The students demonstrate knowledge of the concept of print and how it is organized.
CCSS.ELA-Literacy.Rl.K5- Identify the front cover, back cover, and title page of a book.
CCSS.ELA.Literacy.W.K.2- Use a combination of drawing, dictating and writing to compose information/explanatory texting which they name what they are writing about and supply some information about topics.

Students have had a number of experiences with reading books, work books or coloring books. At the end of the unit each student will be required to create the own coloring book or reading book about their weather experience. during this lesson students will be learning about the parts of a book.

The name or topic of the story
Author : The person who wrote the words .

Homework:
Each student is require to bring a book to class and present the three parts. The students will ell the class the title of the book, how many pages, and what is on the back cover.
Conclusion
Back Cover
The back cover of the book is a free page .
Some writers:
•Put an activity's related to the story,
•summary about the book,
• Write special thank to those who have helped
•Leave it blank.

Words in the book are used to inform the reader about a topic. A story may tell the reader :

Pictures are used to show the reader what the words are saying

Today we have explored the main parts of a Book:Cover, insides pages and the back cover. Remember a story is message book from one person to another and every part of a book has an important connection to getting the reader to understanding the message a person is sharing.
