The glyptodon was around the epoch of the Plestocene Moder wich is about 10,000 to 2,000,000 years ago. It lived by swamps in South America where it could catch prey.

The Glyptodons kingdom is Animalia, its phylum is Chordata, its class is mammallia, its superoder is Xenarthra, its order is cingulata, its family is Gluptodontiade, and its Genus is Glyptodon.
Today the glyptodon evolved into todays anteaters, sloths, and armadillos.
What the Glyptodon most resembles today
4,500 pounds to one ton. It is usually 1 ton in weight. It has a small head and neck but a huge armored shell for protection.

The glyptodon strictly is a herbivore. It is a very defensive animal and does not want to get hunted.

The glyptodon lived in south america but speciffically chile. They lived in the pliocene epoch through the michene epoch.

The glyptodon's most interpreted cause of extinction was being hunted for its shell and meats
