Transcript of 19 - Don't Harm Sexuality part 2
(Exodus 20:14 LEB)
"You shall not commit adultery.
(Genesis 2:24 LEB) Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall cling to his wife, and they shall be as one flesh.
(Matthew 5:27-30 LEB) "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. And if your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it from you! For it is better for you that one of your members be destroyed than your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it from you! For it is better for you that one of your limbs be destroyed than your whole body go into hell.

EXTERNAL - INTERNAL
“Sexuality activity will quiet inner turmoil.”
“If you are not sexually fulfilled, you are not fully human.”
“I can’t do anything about it my feelings must be expressed.”
(1 Corinthians 6:12-20 ISV)
Everything is permissible for me, but not everything is helpful. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not allow anything to control me. Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food, but God will make them both unnecessary. The body is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. God raised the Lord, and by his power he will also raise us. You know that your bodies belong to the Messiah, don't you? Should I take what belongs to the Messiah and unite them with a prostitute? Certainly not! You know that the person who unites himself with a prostitute becomes one body with her, don't you? For it is said, "The two will become one flesh." But the person who unites himself with the Lord becomes one spirit with him. Keep on running away from sexual immorality. Any other sin that a person commits is outside his body, but the person who sins sexually sins against his own body. You know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have received from God, don't you? You do not belong to yourselves, because you were bought for a price. Therefore, glorify God with your bodies.
Proverbs 6:32 GNB
But a man who commits adultery doesn't have any sense. He is just destroying himself.
1 Cor 6:19-20 GNB
Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God; (20) he bought you for a price. So use your bodies for God's glory.
(Galatians 5:17-25 LEB)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such things there is no law.
Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh together with its feelings and its desires. If we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit.
Matthew 5:29-30 LEB
And if your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it from you!
For it is better for you that one of your members be destroyed than your whole body be thrown into hell.
And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it from you!
For it is better for you that one of your limbs be destroyed than your whole body go into hell.
"So God created humankind in his image, in the likeness of God he created him, male and female he created them." Genesis 1:27 LEB
“Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived …"
Genesis 4:1 LEB
1. Our sexuality REFLECTS
something of God
2. Sexual desire is a symptom
of our DESIRE for God

(John 8:11 LEB) “…Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more.”
