Grew up on a farm in northern Minnesota
Traveled to 48 states, Canada, Europe, and Africa
Married to an eclectic nomad, Tony, for 33 years.
Tony's career with the Public Health Service took us to Nevada, Puerto Rico, South Dakota, Washington, D.C., New Mexico, and Missouri.
Mother of five children
Grandmother to six little boys. The library is a great place to have fun while learning! Patricia Mann... Author Judy Young spent
a day with the students. ...is in awe of nature, ...is thankful for her family, An introduction. Graduated from Bemidji State University in Minnesota
with a B.S. in Elementary Education in 1979. Earned 40 + graduate hours in science and language arts.

Taught in the classroom for 22 years in parochial, private, and public schools. I am passionate about science, children's literature, and global citizenship.

Participated in professional development programs: Institute for Chemical Education, NASA Education Workshop for Elementary Science Teachers, Behind the Scenes at the Smithsonian, Teacher at Sea, and certified by the National Science Teachers' Association in science education.

Began my eighth year this fall as a librarian at Willard North Elementary in the city of Willard, which is located in the southwest corner of the state.

Developed a Wiki.
Completed projects with Prezi and MyComics
Save and share files with Google docs
Participate in Skype sessions. I've always admired the creativity of talented authors and illustrators that write with children in mind. My love for books and kids drew me to the library.
