Transcript of King Tutankhamen

Life
Tutankhamen was a Pharaoh, or king, of ancient Egypt in the 1300s BC. He became a Pharaoh when he was 9 years old. He also died when he was 19 years old. He is famous today because of the many treasures found inside his tomb.
The terrible curse occurred when many terrible events happened after the discovery of king Tutankhamen`s tomb. Legend has it if you dared to open the tomb you would feel the wrath of the mummy. Because mummies have been associated with many magical powers throughout history, some mummies in ancient Egypt were ground into fine powder and sold as mystical mummy powder. It is believed that they had healing powers and it wasn't until the discovery of king Tutankhamen that things started changing.

Ankhesenamun was king Tutankhamen`s wife. She was approximately thirteen years old when she married Tutankhamen who was most likely her half-brother. Tutankhamen was probably around eight years old at the time that this marriage occurred.
What is known about Ankhesenamun is that she was born the third daughter of Akhenaten and Nefertiti.
King Tut had 2 daughters, although their names have never been known, scientist are trying to figure it out. They died not long after he did. And were still very tiny babies.
Death
It is believed that King Tutankhamen was murdered. But that may not be the truth King Tutankhamen may have also died because of natural causes, although when Howard Carter had found his tomb King Tutankhamen had a broken leg and a hole through his head and also had many diseases. When the tomb of king tut was found there was also a carving on the wall saying "Death will come on swift wings to him who disturbs the peace of the king...". Not long after that Howard Carter died.
