Photovoltaic Solar Power
Transcript of Photovoltaic Solar Power
They can be used for houses, buildings, and even parking meters. We now even have photovolactic
buildings that are made out of pure solar panels. By: Amber Biddle The Willis Tower, in Chicago, Illinois was built in 2010. The "glass" windows are made from solar panels. This company is trying to convert other buildings to solar powered panels. The main company in Photovoltaic power In 2009, the photovoltaic solar industry generated $38.5 billion in revenues globally They expect it to grow to $46.3 billion to $96.8 billion in 2014 using solar panels on your home or anywhere else is extreamly efficient. its a green form of energy and wont hurt the environment unlike coal burning or gas heaters. Photovoltaic power systems are recent so when it comes to repairs it not the easiest thing ever. Cost for repair is exspensive, as more tests are conducted scientist hope to make solar panels more effective and reliable, also reducing the cost. the largest photovoltaic farm in the United States is in North Carolina, owned by the company "Duke Engergy" According to Renewable Energy World.Com, people agree that photovoltaics is the best form of renewable engery, it's green and affective, the only downside they complain of is the cost, even though it pays off in the long run. my opinion of photovoltaics is that everyone should have it. I hope that when I am able to buy my own house they will be updated and accessable enough for me to own them. i think the cost at first would be worth it becuase it would definately pay off in the long run, plus its good for the environment. The "Sunflower"is a compact system that converts solar energy into electric power, and is also a i pod docking system with two speakers. The End!
