BEAUTY and CARE
Now if you have a horse like me then you can answer this question that I am about to ask, which is; Do your horses take care of you? So you might be thinking, Well a horse can't take care of you, but they can every time you are with them they just by letting you groom, ride and so much more, So don't you think you should take care of them as well?? Think about that for a second.
TRUE LOVE from a HORSE!
Pole Bending is a event when you have to weave between poles as fast as possible!
You can't hit any poles over or do the course wrong or else the judges or/and the time in have an added time penalty and get deducted points!!
HORSE PLAY DAYS...
There are a few rules to barrel racing such as:
-In barrel racing you are NOT allowed to go around the barrels the way/direction/pattern! If you do the pattern wrong the time will add 5 extra seconds to your final time!!!
-You are NOT allowed to knock over ANY of the barrels! Or the will add 5 extra seconds to your time just like if you go the wrong way in the pattern!!!
Barrel Racing is a timed mounted equestrian race. You are racing around 3 barrels in a cloverleaf pattern, you want to go as fast as you can around them without going around the pattern wrong or knock any barrels over!
When you barrel race you use Western tack not English tack.
You use on your horse a western barrel racing saddle, a western saddle pad, horse boots, a bridle, and a breast collar. But you where a long sleeve shirt, jeans, a belt, cowgirl/cowboy boots, spurs, and a hat or helmet (or are required to wear a riding helmet if you are 18 and under.)

HOW DO THE PATTERNS WORK?
COWGIRL/COWBOY HATS & HELMETS:
In barrel racing there is 3 barrels out in a cloverleaf pattern.
You have to gallop to the first barrel, which is the right barrel you could go to the left I just barrel race starting to the right; then you go around the barrel by going over and around it the you go diagnal to the second barrel and do the same as the first barrel; next you go across to the third barrel (the farthest barrel) after you go around it you will gallop as fast as you can back to the starting mark.

GROOM YOUR HORSE
1. CURY- You use this brush to get hard dirt off. All you do is brush their body in a circular motion not on their faces, legs, mane, forelock, or tail.
2. STIFF BRUSH- You use this brush to get dust off of your horse. You just brush their body in a "flicking" motion on their manes, tails, and body.
3. SOFT BRUSH- You use this brush for their whole body because it is soft and won't hurt them. All you do is brush them on their whole body to get the last little bit of extra dirt or dust.
4. HOOF PICKS- You use this to get the rocks, dirt, mud and other stuff like that out of their hooves. You cannot hoof pick in the "frog" of their hoof because that is their sensitive spot of their hooves.
In Pole Bending you have a pattern/course to go through.
There's six poles in the arena in a line. You have to go straight to the last pole in the line then weave them and when you get back to where you started weaving you go back to the start in a straight line.
A picture of the pattern.
The rules in pole bending are:
You can't knock over any poles.
You can try to keep the pole up with your hand if you hit it or it starts to fall.
You can't go the wrong way/direction through the course.
The tack you use in Pole bending is:
