Using the context menu

The context menu can be opened with a right-click or by holding CTRL/CMD+click. It gives you a quick alternative to some of the most useful commands when editing. The menu changes according to where your cursor is on the presentation.

On the overview

Right-click or CTRL/CMD-click on the overview to get this menu.

  • Start presentation: Enables you to start viewing or presenting your presentation.
  • Add topic...: Adds a new topic to your presentation.
  • Paste: Adds what you have copied to the clipboard to your presentation.
  • Add comment...: Allows you to add a comment to the overview.
  • Add animation...: Opens the animation sidebar so you can add animations.
  • Change background...: Opens the “Background options” sidebar so you can change your background.

On topics, text, and objects

Right-click or CTRL/CMD-click on a topic, subtopic, text, or object to get this menu.

  • Bring to front: Moves the selected object to the front. The other objects that are in front of the selected objects will move to the back.
  • Send to back: Moves the selected object to the back so the surrounding objects can come forward.
  • Cover settings...: Enables you to change the cover of a topic or planet subtopic.
  • Add comment...: Allows you to add a comment to the selected topic, subtopic, text, or object.
  • Add animation...: Allows you to add animations such as zooming or fade to the selected topic, subtopic, text, or object.
  • Copy: Copies the selected topic, subtopic, text, or object.
  • Paste: Pastes the selected topic, subtopic, text, or object.
  • Delete: Deletes the selected topic, subtopic, text, or object.
  • Update style preset: Each template comes with preset fonts and colors. You can change these colors to match your company brand or a particular theme. If you’d like to save your edits as the presets:
    1. Click or right-click to select the object.
    2. Then change its properties using the context toolbar.
    3. Select Update style preset in the right-click menu.

This feature is great if you want to make a company branded template for your entire team to use.

On images

Right-click or CTRL/CMD-click on an image to get this menu.

  • Set as background: Sets the selected picture as your presentation’s background.
  • Bring to front: This moves the selected image to the front. The other objects that are in front of the selected image will go to the back.
  • Send to back: This moves the selected image to the back so the surrounding objects can come forward.
  • Add comment...: Lets you add a comment to the picture.
  • Add animation...: Enables you to add animation such as zooming or fade to the selected image.
  • Copy: Copies the image to your clipboard.
  • Paste: Pastes the object from your clipboard to your presentation.
  • Delete: Removes the image from your presentation.
