"The fundamental teaching role is one of facilitating learning by providing expertise, managing resources and encouraging learners to help themselves to attain their goals (Walkin, 1990)

The teaching cycle will help and encourage teachers to plan their sessions in a supportive way.

Create a table which includes a list of teaching responsibilities down one side and on the right hand side tick the ones you feel you are currently capable of...

Whilst there are key roles
to adhere to, one role is not more
important than the other

1. Using the sort Card Pack Provided:
match the definitions of the different roles to their titles.

2. Looking at the roles select the 5 which you think are the most important to your role in education and training.
