A few words to describe the industrial Revolution
This image shows how many people were working in one room in a factory.
Factories are still crowded today.
Women and children worked in mines and had no more that 18" of space to pull the mine cart for miles.
Today miners have much more space and safer conditions to mine
People would often strike for better working condtions
People still strike to get what they want.
Unions were created to protect the rights of the workers.
Many more unions have been established since the Industrial Revolution.
Many children were forced to work during the Industrial Revolution.
Currently there are laws in place to prevent child labor.
