This is one of the MOST important things in Web Design. You have to stay organized! Everything you put on a web page MUST be uploaded to the server in the exact same way you have it on the computer. If you move anything, it will NOT show up on the web page correctly.

ALL of these pages, info, images, etc. are put into ONE folder called the
ROOT
folder.

Home Page or Index Page
are VERY important for any website.
Images
Every single web site on the web has a MAIN page called a Home or Index Page.

The "beginning" of a website is meant for you to draw people into the rest of your website.

When you create a home page you will save it as:

index.html

When the server looks for your web site this is the file it is looking for. Your home page is THIS page!

Do NOT use capitals OR spaves when creating your web pages for your website.

You will NAME every single page created for your web site.
We as a society base most of our information on images we see. Without images, you can NOT hold someone's attention very long. Make sure you have plenty of imagery for your web site. You will need a variety of images for your web site.
