~ Anita Roddick Anita Roddick~ So, lets start with Anita Roddick since this project is inspired by her words! Anita Roddick, born Anita Lucia Perilli, on October 23rd, 1942. She was born in a bomb shelther, in Littlehampton, Sussex, England. She was raised in an Italian immigrant community, where she was the third of four children. Now, to her life achievements! Anita Roddick is the founder of the Body Shop, a cosmetic company producing and selling beauty products. Anita Roddick's, company the Body Shop shaped ethical consumerism -a type of consumer activism practiced through "positive buying" in that ethical products are favored. Anita Roddick is known for her business the Body Shop, she is a known as british business, human rights activist, and environmental campaigner! In 1990, Roddick founded the Children on The Edge, a charity which helps The company was one of the first to prohibit the use of ingredients tested on animals. But I chose her as a person of change no matter what size because she was only 13 when she was sent away to a concentration camp. Her diary has touched billions across the world because of her courage as a young jewish girl in the Holocaust. Not only was she couargeous but she was amazingly strong being seperated from her family and tortured. Hoping her diary would make sure these acts of hatred would never happen again.
