Types of Transportation
Buses
TRAVEL
Ships
Shipping still remains the main form of cargo transport in to and out of Britain.
P&O Ferries is a British company that operates ferries from the United Kingdom to Ireland and Continental Europe (France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain).
Railway or Train
River Bus Services on the Thames
Traveling by river is a great way to get around London.
They are faster and more frequent than other river tour services and some boats have refreshments and Wifi.
Tube
When in London, "the Tube" is a great means of getting around!
Taxis
London's official taxis, black cabs can be hailed in the street.
The high-speed train service
linking London, Ashford, Paris, Brussels, Lille, Avignon, Calais, Disneyland Resort Paris and the French Alps.
Tram
Most London buses have a
conductor
who will come round and collect fares.
Coaches
There are 470 airports in England.
The cheapest way to pay for single journeys on bus, Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and most National Rail services in London.
Euro Trains
The trains travel under the sea in a very long tunnel called the Channel Tunnel.
The tunnel was completed in 1995 and is 50 metres below the sea bed.
