Use of technology to improve Instruction for students not currently able to attend school in the Colonial School District
Colonial School District
13 schools----10,465 students
65% minorities and 50% classified low income
91 students are currently not receiving education in one of the district's 13 schools
Homebound
Private Placement
Alternative schools
"She is going into the hospital and will be out of class for 6 weeks."
"Wow, I'm going to miss her."
"What if we could bring school to her in the hospital?"
Students out of normal school environments do not share the same education experiences as their peers in school.
