By Jared Hutchins Iron Man(Hero's Journey) Call to Action Refusal of the Call Mentor Background While he was in Afghanistan unveiling his new weapon, The Jericho Bomb, a terrorist group ambushed and kidnapped Stark. The terrorist group wanted Stark to build them their own Jericho bomb. He lied and said that he would, with his genius, he builds a suit of armor and breaks out of the prison camp. The refusal of the call is not exactly a refusal at all. Stark builds the armor and becomes Iron Man , but he was forced into it in order to save his business and life. Tony Stark does not have a mentor to guide him along his journey. The Iron Man idea sparked when he needed to escape from the prison camp in Afghanistan. When he was in the prison camp he only had an assistant to help him build the original suit. Tony Stark(Iron Man) is the owner of "Stark Industries" a military weapons manufacturer for the U.S. Armed Forces. He is a playboy, millionaire, and genius. He inherited Stark Industries from his father when his father died in a car wreck. Crossing the Threshold Belly of the Whale There really are no problems. This suit is almost invicible and can withstand anything in its path. Tony's long time friend Col. Rhodes finds a few problems with the suit though because it is interferring in military business Trials Tony's long time buisness partner, Obidiah Stane learns that Tony is Iron Man and becomes very angry. Obidiah turns to the terrorist group that kidnapped Tony in the beginning and aqquires the original suit that Tony used to escape. Shadows and Temptaions Heroic Battle Tony returns home safe and better than ever The Ultimate Boon Tony calls a press conference to explain what happened to Obadiah and the Arc Reactor that night, but instead of reading the card he was given, admits that he is Iron Man. Returning Home The lesson from this is that no matter who you are, you can make a difference in the world and make peace Lesson for Humanity Tony decides that he is shutting down the weapons manufacturing department of Stark Industries because he has seen that his captors were buying them and killing innocent people. He starts building a new and improved suit of armor. This new suit of armor prove to be a great tool in order to create peace in the world. Tony sees pictures of what is happening in a middle eastern town and how it is being destroyed by terrorist groups using his weapons. He takes the new suit of armor over there and save all the hostages that have been taken by the terrorists. The final battle between Tony and Obadiah has come. Tony has the new and improved Iron Man suit and Obidiah has the original but improved Iron Monger suit. The battl wages in the streets until they end up on the roof of Stark Industries Processing Plant. In the end Tony won by making Obidiah fall into the giant Arc Reactor powering the plant Iron Man.
