Compounds are substances made of TWO or more elements chemically combined in a set ratio.

pure,only one type of atom
represented by SYMBOLS
can be found all over the universe
TWO Different Elements combined = Compound
Oxygen + 2 Hydrogen = Water
Compounds can be chemically seperated in a chemical reaction
Compounds are represented by symbols and subscripts
Subscripts tell us how many of each element are in the compound
if there is no subscript then that means there's just ONE
2 hydrogen 1 oxygen
So what is the difference between an element and a compound??
