By: Vanessa Reynolds Crime Rate in Mexico! The Crime Rate in Mexico Compared to the United States. Rising Rate! ~ The over all murder rate has gone down in most places.
~The kidnapping rate has gone up in the past
five years!
~Most of the rising murder rates are near the United States boarder.
~The car stealing and has gone up considerably. Towns with the highest Crime Rate. Highest Ranking Types of Crimes! ~Mexican drug trafficking rings play a major role in the flow of cocaine, heroin, and marijuana transiting between Latin America and the United States.
~Kidnapping young girls and even mid-age women
~Homicide, of all ages, usually has to do with the drug trafficking and gangs.
~Rape, not punished or even caught as much as in America, but still a high rate, mostly with young teenagers to young women. ~ 1 out of every 8,300 people are violently murdered.
~In America there is 1 out of every 20,000 people violently murdered. ~ Ciudad Juarez has one of the highest murder rates in Mexico with 148 homicides for every 100,000 residents.
~San Pedro Sula with 159 murders per 100,000 inhabitants.
~Acapulco, 128 murders per 100,000 people; Torreon, 88; Chihuahua, 83; and Durango, with 80 homicides per 100,000 residents.
~Monterrey has the highest rate of car theft.
