The story is notable for its frightening and serious tone. It has often been anthologised and has also been published more than once as a short book in its own right. The story was also adapted into an animated TV special by American animator Chuck Jones in 1975, May. That same year the story was adapted as a Russian animated short film.

Narrative Writing
is a story (fiction or non-fiction) told and the order in which it is told. Sometimes, there is a narrator, a character or series of characters, who tell the story.
Persuasive Writing
Persuasive writing intends to influence how someone thinks, feels, acts, and makes decisions in relation to a particular issue, idea, or proposal.

The first reason why you shouldn’t smoke is that smoking affects your health. If you smoke, your physical condition will be negatively affected, so it will be very difficult for you to succeed in sports.
The second reason to read more often is that through books you can have fun and even travel in your imagination. Children have not yet lost the ability of getting into their dreams, and because of this, in their first years the parents read a lot of tales in which they use their imagination. Adults should try to keep this ability, so we do not forget the importance of the use of the imagination.
I wrap my arms around myself and grip with all my might.

The waves crashed and danced along the shore, moving up and down in a graceful and gentle rhythm like they were dancing.
The painting was a field of flowers, with deep and rich blues and yellows atop vibrant green stems that seemed to beckon you to reach right in and pick them.

Standing backstage, I could feel my heart thumping in my
chest. “Just relax,” my friend Jenny whispered. “You’re ready for
this.” I nodded. Jenny was right. I’d been practicing my song for
the school talent show for six weeks. Still, picturing an audience
packed with kids, parents and teachers made me want to run out
the door.As I finished the song, the audience began to clap. “Yeah,
Katie!” one kid yelled. “You rock!”

The National Sleep Foundation in the United States says that 7–9 hours of sleep daily is best for an
adult. Seven to nine hours of sleep is good for memory, alertness, problem–solving, and health. Less than six
hours of sleep affects the ability to think. Getting too much sleep may not be good for people either. Too much
sleep is linked to sickness and depression.
