Drug Abuse Presented By Dudreko Forbes Dudreko Forbes A medicine or other substances which has physiological effect when ingested or introduced to the body. Brain stimulation is a technique which involves introducing electric currents to the brain to interrupt brain function. Why are Drugs Harmful? What are Drugs? What is Brain Stimulation? Drugs are made up from different plants, herbs, and chemical compounds. Many drugs come from animals. Some of them are manufactured as synthetics that have been tested for certain diseases. Illegal drugs come from a variety of different sources although most of them were at one time plant based. How did Drugs Occur? Thesis: Excessive drug use/abuse impedes proper brain function and stimulation. Different drugs have different effects on our bodies. Prescription drugs are generally beneficial, but misuse can cause illness or death.Drugs affect your brain physically. Some drugs can even cause mental disorders if taken for a very long time. Basically most drugs, if taken in inappropriate amounts, make you lose control of yourself. They can make you hyper, and eventually you will get addicted so you feel down without it. Different Uses Of Drugs To help Sleep.
Help Pain.
Help with concentration.
Thin Blood.
Induce Appetite.
Misused to receive the "high" associated with them.
Enter Drugs induced Euphoria.
Commit Suicide. Different Types Of Drugs Ecstasy-It's a synthetic drug similar to the stimulant meth and hallucinogen mescaline. Ecstasy may cause persistent memory problems in humans. Physical Effects: In high doses, Ecstasy can interfere with the body's ability to regulate temperature.This can lead to a sharp increase in body temperature (hyperthermia), resulting in liver, kidney, and cardiovascular system failure, and death. Cannabis- It's a genus of dried flowering plants. Effects of cannabis include:
an altered state of consciousness. The user may feel "high", very happy, euphoric, relaxed, sociable and uninhibited.
distorted perceptions of time and space. The user may feel more sensitive to things around them, and may also experience a more vivid sense of taste, sight, smell and hearing.
increased pulse and heart rate, bloodshot eyes, dilated pupils, and often increandased appetite. This drug is so affected and it makes you addicted and you can/will overdose your self leading you into the long run of dying. Ways 2 Prevent Drugs Abuse. Effectively deal with peer pressure.
Deal with life pressure.
Seek help for mental illness.
Examine the factors of risk in taking drugs.
Keep a well-balanced life.
Educate yourself about the dangers of drugs.
