AYCKBOURN, on ayckbourn
Christmas with the Hopcrofts
-Sidney and Jane host a Christmas Eve extravaganza!
-The women ooh and aww over the racist washing machine while the men hem and haw around about business dealings and the thighs of one of the female guests.
-Things go awry when Jane fails to do an exceptional job of buying beverages and leaves, getting locked out in the rain.
Christmas with the Brewster-Wrights
-Marion has stowed herself away with a bottle.
-It’s not a Christmas party-not until the Hopcrofts have something to say about it!
-With all their Christmas cheer and rather unsavory gifts, they force the others to partake in a game.
-Christmas with the Jacksons
-Geoffrey decides living with his mistress is best for the marriage while Eva scribbles away at something.
-Geoff remembers that it is their turn to host the Christmas Eve extravaganza!
-Eva paying no mind to the party guests makes multiple attempts at killing herself.
-What better way to end the party than with sounds of the season and a partridge in a pair tree?
