Allies Don’t:
THINK THEY KNOW IT ALL
You may know someone who identifies as LGBT, but everyone’s identity and experience is unique
MAKE UNREALISTIC PROMISES
Be careful not to assure people of things you can’t be sure will happen
MAKE ASSUMPTIONS
When we assume too much, we haven’t listened well, and we risk stereotyping
