Lakeria, Mara, and Yuridia Silk Road Who was Zhang Qian? How long did Zhang
Qian’s trip take? First official diplomat to bring back reliable information about Central Asia to the Chinese imperial court Why did Zhang Qian travel the silk roads ? He visited the direct kingdoms in the western regions:
-Territories of the Yuezhi in Transoxiana,
-Bactrian country of Daxia
-Kangju What places did he visit? What obstacles did he
face in his travels? Because he wanted to explore the western land and started the relationship between the western countries. What did he bring back with him? The trip impacted chinese culture because they start to trade with Persia. What impact did his trip have
on Chinese civilization? A map of his travels. One obstacle that Zhang Qian had to face was being in prison for 10 years because, Xiongnu captured his group. Zhang Qian traveled for ten years to reach the Yuezhi. Qian brought back reliable info about central Asia to the chinese imperial court. Zhang Qian Zhang and his colleagues visited total of 36 countries, and were cordially received everywhere since those western countries all desired to establish ties with the powerful Han Dynasty. FACT! Tomb of Zhang Qian is seated at Bowang town of Chenggu county,
Shaanxi Province. It was constructed in the shape of “”with a height of 8 meters, and a length of 15 meters ranging from east to west, and from north to
south. Up to date, a series of ancillary facilities have been completed for better preservation of this historical site. Moreover, Tomb of Zhang Qian was selected as a key heritage site under provincial protection for its cultural and historic value
