Transcript of Kayla's Autobiography!

I was born in Burlington, Vermont on December 25, 1994. I was born at about 5:30 in the morning at Fletcher Allen. I am definitely a perfectionist. I inherited that from my mom. She’s always been really organized and likes everything to be in its place. That’s how I am too. I also feel like I resemble my mom. We are a lot alike sometimes, but I also have a lot in common with my dad. We have more interests that we both really enjoy, like skiing. We have such a good connection, especially when we’re on the mountain. I now live in Waterbury. I’ve moved once, but we stayed in the same town. If I could live anywhere I would live on the island Turks and Caicos. It’s so beautiful and peaceful, and hasn’t been taken over by huge resorts or buildings.
My earliest memory is probably a lot of them, which were all at my old house. I have so many memories at that house, so I’m not quite sure which one comes first. Most consist of my brother and I playing dress up, or making forts. Also we lived next to a farm, so a lot of my memories were also with the cows. Probably the happiest moment of my life was at my old house. My family and I were listening to the song “Walking on the Sun” by Smash mouth and we were all dancing. I was only about five or six years old, but it’s still one of those memories that I will never forget. The scariest moment of my life was when I almost got struck my lightning when I was in Cape Cod with my grandparents, mom, and brother. I was playing on rocks next to the ocean while a storm was coming in. My grandfather told me to get off the rocks, and after I stepped off the rock it got struck with lightning. My best moment at school was making my graduation speech in 8th grade. I was so proud at that moment, and I was so happy when making my speech. Friendship means a lot to me, and I love having friends. I don’t think I could survive without them. The main thing I look for in a friend is trust. I love being able to talk to my friends about anything, and if they aren’t trustworthy then I wouldn’t be comfortable with them. My Favorites... Books: Tuesdays With Morrie Smoke Jumper Message In A Bottle Authors: Sarah Dessen Nicholas Sparks Nicholas Evans MovIes: Avatar Titanic Sweet November TV Programs: One Tree Hill Grey's Anatomy Brother's And Sister's Sports: Lacrosse Alpine Skiing Cross Country Running HobbIes: Babysitting Playing With My Dog Lacey Cooking The person I admire most is my grandpa (Grampi). I have so much respect for him and always have. We are extremely close and share similar interests, which is part of the reason why we connect so well. My hero is my mom. She works so hard and I envy her for her drive. She also is an extremely caring person. I like that I am polite and aware of my surroundings. If I’ve insulted someone or said something rude, I realize it. I’m not oblivious to things. Also, I am a perfectionist and that can be difficult and annoying, but I also love that trait. It helps me stay organized and on task. I also find it to make me more determined. One of my challenges is having self-confidence. I’ve always struggled with that. I’m also extremely self-conscience and care way too much about what people think of me. I‘m not a shy person, but I still let people’s opinions of me affect me much more then they should.
