JESUS IS CONDEMNED TO DEATH
Jesus is brought to stand in front of Pontius Pilate, the judge. He is innocent but Pontious Pilate condemns him anyway and sentences Him to death.
VERONICA WIPES THE FACE OF JESUS
Veronica wipes the face of Jesus with a cloth. Jesus's face stays on the cloth as a reminder of all that Jesus suffered. The guards were angry with her, Jesus smiles and thanked her.
JESUS FALLS THE THIRD TIME
Now, Jesus is really exhausted. Now he arrives at the hill where He will be crucified. As Jesus is going up the hill, Jesus falls a third time
JESUS MEETS HIS MOTHER
Jesus and His mother Mary, see each other. Mary is crying because he sees Jesus carrying his cross and all bloody. Jesus seeing her mother inspires him to move on and continue.
JESUS IS NAILED TO THE CROSS
Jesus is finally nailed to the cross. He is nailed on his hands and feet. It is really painful, but Jesus still asks God to forgive the soldiers for their sins
JESUS FALLS THE SECOND TIME
Jesus is really weak and tired that he falls again because of the heavy cross. He is bruised and is bleng and the soldiers whip him to get him back up
JESUS IS STRIPPED OFF HIS CLOTHES
As Jesus arrives to His destination, the soldiers take of Jesus' bloodstained clothes. They have taken off Jesus' clothes, but they haven't taken Jesus' great love for us
JESUS CARRIES HIS CROSS
Jesus carries the cross he will be crucified on. The cross He is carrying represents all of our crosses and is crushing his weight.
JESUS DIES ON THE CROSS
After three hours, Jesus finally dies on the cross. He cries out loud and takes his final breath. Darkness comes when it is still 3 pm, the earth shakes and everyone is afraid
JESUS TALKS TO THE WOMEN OF JERUSALEM
Jesus passes Mary, and other women. They love him so much and feels bad for Jesus. Jesus tells them not to worry and this comforts the women a little
JESUS IS TAKEN DOWN FROM THE CROSS
Jesus' dead body is taken down from
the cross. His mother, Mary, hugs Him and cries.
JESUS FALLS FOR THE FIRST TIME
The weight of the cross is too heavy. Jesus falls and feels weak, wondering if he could continue. He does not use any of his superhuman powers or ask help from the angels. He is pulled up and forced to continue
SIMON HELPS JESUS CARRY HIS CROSS
Jesus struggles to carry his cross. The guards notice him, so they force a man named Simon to help Him carry His cross.
JESUS IS LAID IN THE TOMB
Jesus' body is covered in a clean sheet. He is laid in a tomb in a garden and the entrance is blocked by a huge stone. A guard is put outside just in case someone tries to steal His body
