Time Management is Essential
3 “C’s”: COMMUNICATION – COMMITMENT and COACHABILITY are Essential
Make GOOD DECISIONS
- No Drugs/Alcohol
- Use of Foul Language not Acceptable
- Be Good Role Models
Priorities are as follows:
- FAMILY 1st
- SCHOOL 2nd
- Basketball 3rd
- WORK, FRIENDS, ETC to follow
This is a Competitive Team in a Competitive Program.
We will not have equal playing time.
We are not a “win at all costs” program, but we will win at the expense of playing time.
Making the team gives you the RIGHT to do two things:
1) Wear the uniform
2) Sit on the Bench
**After this playing time is dependant upon your performance.
We will make an honest effort to get each player as much playing time as possible.
NO ONE WILL “SIT” THE SEASON
Discussions around playing time or on court decisions must take place at appropriate times…..Respect is crucial
Ultimately, we need you to accept our decisions and your son’s role in regards to playing time…if you can’t, you may have a decision to make.
Let’s keep communication open and on-going.
All practices are timed and will be 1 ½ hours to 2 hours in length.
Schedule is subject to “modest changes”.
Communicate changes well in advance.
Notification of extended holidays.
- Christmas and February Break
Riffel (Dec. 10 th and 11th), Balfour Junior Classic, Walter Murray (*January) and S.W.A.T.
RHSAA League playoffs begin Monday, March 7, 2011
