Transcript of S.P.R.I.T.E

After World War II nations decided to get ride of the League of Nations and form the United Nations. The main goal of the United Nations is to promote international co-operation. The United Nations at its start had 51 nations, now it has 193. The United Nations is now a key part of international affairs and politics throughout the world.

Samaritan's Purse
Samaritan's Purse is a Christian organization that provides aid to people in physical need. It was founded in 1970 by Bob Pierce. Samaritan's Purse works in more than 100 countries worldwide. They give aid to those in serious need and try to spread the word of Christianity where they go.
Metropoles or mother cities are the main cities as opposed to the outer regions. These cities are usually have a large amount of manufacturing, trade, and travel. The cities usually offer a large amount of jobs. Therefore, these cities are homed to various ethnic groups and religions. This creates a massive hub of cultural diversity.
Public Schools in Japan
After World War II the Japanese passed education laws that supported an open and democratic Western-style educational system. This shows how much of an affect the globalization had on the Japanese. This showed them the importance of childhood and its impact on a person's future.
The WTO was established to help international trade flow as freely as possible. It creates a framework for negotiating trade agreements between nations. The WTO has 154 members.
The creation of air travel has revolutionized the word. The airplane is responsible for so much cultural diffusion. It allows people to travel great distances to new places with new ideas and technologies. Creating the world we know today.
