The Leaning Tower Of Pisa Who built it? Were not sure who the real identity is because lots of people put forward to being the person who build it but the best result is Gugilimo and Buonanno. who built it? The leaning tower of Pisa was built for a show piece for the people of Pisa, to indicate that there town was prosperous and wealthy. Where is it located? Campo Dei Mirocoli (The field of miracles) In Pisa , Italy (Direction of lean) -1173-1250 North and 1273-1999 South............It never intended to lean but is from faulty foundation is was built upon. Description of structure The height is55.863 meters, 185 feet, 8 stories. The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the famous bell tower, in Italy, It is slanted to one side because of foundation. At night the leaning tower of Pisa has lights shining all around the edges of it. Type of structure The leaning tower of Pisa is a shell! it is a shell because it curves around in the inside. Materials It is cement , rocks and some white marble cement also includes wood and stone. it was made with basic materials because they they needed something casual to represent their beautiful land and the marble is to make it special. Aesthetics It was layered like a wedding cake , was biult on sand pavement its surroundings were piazza de miracoli and the cathedral to make it so beautiful. Three Design Concepts incorporated these are the three concepts incorporated function , materials and aesthetics. Three interesting facts 1) There are seven bells all tuned to musical scales in such a large tall tower
2) The tower has been closed since 1988 to prevent it from any danger to inclination.
