Main functions of Angels
1. They protect us from evil and harm.
2. They keep record of our good and bad deeds.
3. They obey Allah's commands and glorify Him at all times.
Main Angels after life
Israfeel: Blows in the horn; On the first blow it will bring everything to total destruction and the second horn will start the Day of Judgment.
Hamalat-ul-Arsh: The carriers of the throne; Eight angels who carry the Allah's throne.
Ridwan: The head of all the keepers in Paradise.
Malik: The head of all the keepers in Hell.

Main Angels during life
Life angel: Gives life to us while we are in the mothers womb.
Al Hafathah: the guardians angels; those who take care of us.
Al Katabah: The honorable record keepers; who record our good and bad deeds.
Malak-ul-Mawt: The death angel; they are responsible for taking the soul away from the human body.
Munkar and Nakeer: Angels in the grave; They ask the person in the grave about his Lord, his Prophet and his religion.
Allah's soldiers: Defenders of believers.

Are made of light.
May have 2-4 wings.
Worship and obey Allah.
Do not make mistakes.
Arabic word for angel: Malak
Arabic word for angels: Mala'ikah
Al Hafathah: ''For his (man's) sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind them, who guard him by Allah's will.'' (13:11)
At least three ayaat in the Quran assure us that Allah assigns angels to protect every human being
''In Surat Qaf Allah says:
When the two writing angels receive mans actions, sitting on the right and on the left. He utters not a word but there is by him a watcher at hand.''

Say: ''The angel of death who is given charge of you shall cause you to die, then to your lord you shall be brought back.''
Munkar and Nakeer
''When the dead person is buried two black-blue angels come to him, one call Munkar and the other called Nakeer.''
''And the horn shall be blown, so all those in the heavens and in the earth shall pass out, except such as Allah pleases; Then it shall be blown again, Then they shall stand up awaiting''
''And the angels shall be all around; and above them (angels) shall bear on that day your lords throne. On that day you shall be exposed to view -- No secret of yours shall remain hidden.''
Ard-ul-Mahshar: The land of gathering; Where all people will be gathered after Resurrection.
