Illest Road Trip Of All Time
By: Emmye Baker
On this trip I would bring with me Colby Gainer, Mackenzie Brown, and Rebecca Darville.

Who Would You Take?
3 star $100 per day meals
Hotel Rooms- $100 per day
High quality duffle bags-$75 per person
$500 for food and lodging
$300 for luggage
Equation= y= 500x + 300
Expenses
Bronx, NY
Logan, OH
Sandusky, OH
Springfeild, IL
St. Paul, MI
Medora, ND
Cody, WY
Chadron, NB
Cedar Rapids, IW
Centerpoint, IN
Doylestown Hunt, PN
Manhattan, NY
Route
Honda Prius- $34 per day, best MPG
Holds 4 people- I have only 4 people
It would take me 104 gallons for the entire trip
$291.20 is how much I would spend on gas
Equation= y= 34x + 291.20
Vehicle Expense
Calculating Costs

Sponsorship
Comparing Plans
Graph
4, 991.4 miles long
81 Hours and 19 min.
Smallest # of days= 9
If it was 31 days long I would spend 3 hours driving each day
Vehicle E.Q. = y = 34x + 291.20
Food + Lodging E.Q. = y = 500x + 30
Total:
1 day = $855.20 My trip is
7 days = $4,059.20 only going to be
10 days = $8,550.20 18 days long
14 days = $8,118.40 because if I do
16 days = $8,865.20 more than that it
18 days = $9,933.20 will be to much and anything less would not be enough.
I chose this route because I wanted to
go on my trip during the winter. I love the cold weather so I decided to stay north so I could experience more snow then what we get in Arkansas.
E.Q. Coca Cola- y = 6x + 104
E.Q. Pepsi- y = 10x + 60
E.Q. Snapple- y = 22x - 228
I found the equation for Coca Cola by first finding the pattern which was every 5 days added, you also added $30. I knew that 5 days equaled $134, so because I found the difference of $30 the extra $104 would be the y intercept. So 5 days = $30 + 104. The $104 stayed the same because it was add on and the $30 could be found by using 6x. So I found the equation y = 6x + 104.

I found the equation for Pepsi by first finding the pattern which was every 10 days you added $100. I knew that 10 days equaled $160, so because I knew the difference of $100 the extra $60 would be the y intercept. So 10 days = 100 + 60. The $60 would stay the same, but the days had to be multiplied by 10 then + 60 to get the total equation of y = 10x + 60.
Pepsi and Coca Cola would pay the same amount on day 11
6x + 104 = 10x + 60
-6x -6x
4x
104 = 4x + 60
-60 -60
44 = 4x
4 ' 11 = 44
x = 11
Comparing Plans
Coca Cola and Snapple would pay the same amount on day 20.75
6x + 104 = 22x - 228
-6x -6x
16x
104 = 16x - 228
+228 +228
332 = 16x
332 divided by 16 = 20.75
x = 20.75
Comparing Plans
Pepsi and Snapple would pay the same amount on day 24
10x + 60 = 22x -228
-10x -10x
12x
60 = 12x - 228
+228 +228
288 = 12x
288 divided by 12 = 24
x = 24
