What is a Virus?
A virus is program that inserts copies of itself into other programs and preforms some type of harmful activities on the hosts.
What does a Virus do?
A computer virus might corrupt and delete data on your computer and it can access private information.
How Viruses are Spread
How to Prevent Viruses
Don't open unknown attachments in emails or do a virus scan after opening them.
Download files only from trusted sites.
Remember to do a virus scan for them after peripheral devices are connected to your computer.
How to remove a virus
You can use the internet by downloading a Microsoft safety scanner.
Or you can remove them manually.

40% of US households are affected by computer viruses.

Computer viruses are also spread through downloads on the internet. They can be hidden and software or other files or programs that you might download.
