Emma's year in 4th grade
My favorite read aloud book in 4th grade is The One and Only Ivan because there is so much adventure and the book is really funny.
1: Tales of a Fourth grade nothing
2: Whipping Boy
3: Fourth Grade Rats
4: Turtle in Paradise
5: Holes
Reading out loud to myself and practicing my fluency . Also, slowing down by stopping at the periods when I see them.
Read more challenging books that have new words then I can practice them out loud to myself and then I can speak them fluently.
I think I am a better writer because...
At the beginning of the year I didn't use spicy words but now I do.
I am a better writer because I have grown and learned new things.
As a writer this summer I will ...
Write letters to my family members and describe things to them using my spicy words so then I won't forget them.
I improved on my division because at the beginning of the year I didn't know how to divide and now I am amazing at division and one strategy I used to help me is long division. I learned lots of multiplacation strategies like lattice , and partial products.
How I improved
Standards I will continue to work on
The standards I will continue to work on is knowing Realitive sizes of measurement Units. Also, equivalent fractions and adding and subtracting fractions.
My favorite part of 4th grade
My favorite part of 4th grade in Math is learning lots of strategies to make everything easier.
Getting to be a successful 5th grader
What I need to continue to be a successful 5th grader is equivalent fractions and adding different denomanators on fractions.
