V for Vendetta; A Dystopian Project!!
Transcript of V for Vendetta; A Dystopian Project!!
*The events of this film takes place in an alternate version of Great Britain which is controlled by a totalitarian and fascist government that made its way to power during a time of intense war and fear. PLOT;
*Occurring in the year of 2030, Great Britain also know as the United Kingdom is being ruled by a fascist and totalitarian government. This evil and corrupt government believes that anyone who is different shall be killed, removed from the face of the earth, so to carry out this inhumane act they build a concentration camp where they capture and torture political activist, homosexuals, muslims, and other "undeserving" humans. This is where or how "V" was born or rather created. At this concentration camp they ran various testes on the prisoners there. In the process of developing weapons of mass destruction each of their "subjects" are continuously killed, only "V' shows to be any sign of success. Sometime between this he burns the camp down and breaks free. Being turned into a monster he seeks vengeance. On the night of November fourth(4th) he meets Evey on his way to blow "Old Bailey" to smithereens, rescues Evey from being raped by "Fingermen" and after that occurs he learns that her name is "Evey" and he articulates the "E" and "V". Which is of great significance. And thus begins the story. CHARACTERS;

*"Behind this mask there is more than just flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea.... and ideas Mr. Creedy are bullet proof." - V.
*"People shouldn't fear their government. Governments should be afraid of their people."
*"Artist use lies to tell the truth. Yes I created a lie. But because you believed it, you found something true about yourself." - V, originally said by Evey's father.
*Remember, remember the fifth of November of gunpowder treason and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should be forgot." - V.
*Who? Who is but the form following what, and what I am is a man in a mask" - V. ESSENTIAL QUESTIONS:
* Why do some government leaders wish to limit individual freedom?
* Why do some people see themselves as powerless, thereby giving power to leaders who wish to control them?
* Why is it important for people to have hope and vision for the future?
* Can technology be used as a tool to enslave people?
* Does good or evil prevail in human affairs? ANSWERS *Some government leaders wish to limit individual freedom for the citizens within that society because they want to gain completely dominance over them. They wish the people of that nation to be dependent upon them so they can gain control of every decision which they make. Essentially they want to rob you of your freedom, so that they can manipulate your every move.
*Some people see themselves as powerful, thereby giving power to leaders who wish to control them because in most situations, such as the one in my film, they have scummed to fear and because of this they seek protection and accept it from anyone who offers, and in the process of this they lose all sense of self reliance. Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
the Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, t’was his intent to blow up King and Parliament.
Three score barrels were laid below to prove old England’s overthrow;
By God’s mercy he was catch’d with a dark lantern and lighted match.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!
Hip hip hoorah.
A penny loaf to feed the Pope
A farthing o’ cheese to choke him.
A pint of beer to rinse it down.
A faggot of sticks to burn him.
Burn him in a tub of tar.
Burn him like a blazing star.
Burn his body from his head.
Then we’ll say ol’ Pope is dead.
Hip hip hoorah!
Hip hip hoorah hoorah! REMEMBER, REMEMBER. ANSWERS CONTINUED. *It is important for people to have hope and vision for the future because it sort of creates a blueprint. Its like a personal map outlined with future plans, a journey, a path that's being set when you think about future decisions that are to be made. It gives you strength when you're weak, it provides you with faith when you feel like your feet are made of lead, it pushes you forward.
*Yes, technology can be used to enslave people because when transferred to the hands of destructive beings it could be turned into a weapon, it could used as a weapon, it could be used against a nation by their own government.
*Evil always seems to prevail in human affairs. Inventions created with the best of intentions will suddenly be used for pernicious doings. Evil never seems to elude human affairs, it always manages to find it.. invariably. *REFERENCES: I.“V – for – Vendetta – 1472.” Cinemablend.com (n.d) Web. 26 September, 2012.http://www.Cinemablend.com/review/V-for-Vendetta-1472.html
