The National Equality March was a national political rally that occurred October 11, 2009 in Washington, D.C.
It called for equal protection for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in all matters governed by civil law in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
In 2008, 1,617 crimes were committed based on sexuality
On October 11, 2011 Shelley Hilliard a black transgender teen had been reported missing & her burnt torso was identified by a police in Detroit.
Due to lack of legal recognition of same sex couples 1 out of 4 to 1 out of 3 same sex relationships have experienced domestic violence
Same sex couples don't get the help they need
On November 20, 2013 Gay marriage has been legalized in 16 US states and District of Columbia
States legalized: CA, CT, DE, HI, IA, IL, MA, MD, ME, MN, NH, NJ, NY, RI, VT, and WA
In Richmond, CA on Dec 13, 2008 A 28 year old women who was openly gay was attacked and ganged raped by 4 men and 2 juveniles.
In Greeley, CO on July 16, 2008 Angie Zapata 20 years old was fatally beaten by her date after finding out she was transgender
47.4 percent of bisexual men reported being victims of sexual violence
Compared to 40.2% of gay men and 20.8% of heterosexual men.
33 states have gay marriage
because of either laws or constitutional amendments or both.
When you say something is gay, its offensive. Stop replacing stupid with gay.
