Appeal to FEAR
Makes people feel as if their safety, security, or health is in danger
Persuasive Techniques
What is persuasion?
A means of convincing people:
To buy a certain product
To believe something or act in a certain way
To agree with a point of view

Testimonial

Relies on the backing of a celebrity, an expert, or a satisfied customer. Someone's personal story.
Some common persuasive techniques are:

Bandwagon
Testimonial
Appeal to Fear
Appeal to Vanity
Loaded language ( positive and negative)
False authority
Bandwagon:
Taps into peoples desire to belong to a group.
Persuasive Techniques
Appeal to Vanity
Uses flattery to win people over. All about looks/beauty excessive pride in one's appearance, qualities, abilities, achievements.
Loaded Language
Relies on words with strongly positive or negative associations intended to inspire or win you over.
False Authority
When the "authority" being cited is not actually an expert in that given field.
Methods that are used to convince your heart
and mind.
