"A very formal music style. Highly structured, in four-four time. It is played at state and military ceremonies."

"Türkü uses quite old language; that is, Ottoman Turkish. It is a historical style and its themes are generally emotional and depressing. In its origins, it was played in rural areas."

"It is more modern, combining Turkish and international elements. It has a political or emotional message."
It resembles Western rap music. Turkish instruments are played. Originally, it began with Turks in Germany, and afterward it spread to Turkey. As in American hip-hop, there is a political aim."
"This emotionally-themed style is played in public areas. Young people generally list to it. The singers must be young and pretty."

"It has a strong beat. The vocals are prominent. The songs are about self-confidence."

"Turkish music is really good!"
