Arene Cooper was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois
Shortly after graduating from High School, Arene shipped off to Fort Jackson, SC for Basic Training from December 1988 - January 1989.
After Basic Training, she attended Advance Individual Training (AIT) in Fort Lee, Virgina from February - March 1989.
She left AIT having achieved the rank of Private First Class (PFC Arene Cooper)

While stationed in New York, she met Kenney Baker.
Arene graduated from Southern Illinois
with a Bachelors Degree in
Arene began her career at State Farm as a Personal Lines Underwriter. After a very long engagement, Kenney and Arene finally made it official! They were married in Champaign on August 2, 1997.
Shortly after, she gave birth to her first child on December 6, 1998- a bouncing baby boy, Kenney, Jr .
Family Visit to Alaska
The family of 3 moved to Chicago where Arene continued her career working first as a Regulatory Compliance Analyst at XL Specialty Insurance then at HSBC as a Policy & Compliance Officer.
Arene was assigned to HHC, DISCOM - 8th Infantry Division in Bad Kreuznach, (West) Germany

Arene and the family moved to Greensboro, North Carolina
The Baker Family has created many memorable friendships that wil last a lifetime.
She later found out that she was going to begin her battle with cancer. Arene was a loving sister, wife, and mother. We hope that her legacy of kindness and love will carry on throughout the lives of others she touched.
