Earthquakes Earthquakes shake the Earth and cause disasters like this. There is no way to know if you are in a safe place to hide if there was ever an earthquake. The best places to be during an earthquake is if you are in a building lie face down under a table or desk in the center of a room.
If you are outside lie face down away from buildings, power lines, and trees, and cover your head with your hands.
