Guidance Counselors
Changes in our society seem to happen rapidly and the amount of new information people are expected to absorb seems to be growing just as quickly.
specialize in helping students make decisions about their personal and educational needs
provide career guidance while focusing on ones personal development
counsel students individually or sometimes in small groups.
the need for trained guidance counselors to help students learn to lead meaningful and statisfying lifes

no matter if you're young or old, that's what we're here for! Social Workers
assist people by helping them cope with and solve issues in their everyday lives, such as family and personal problems and dealing with relationships
Some social workers help clients who face a disability, life-threatening disease, social problem, such as inadequate housing, unemployment, or substance abuse
Many social workers specialize in serving a particular population or working in a specific setting
Child, family, and school social workers provide social services and assistance to improve the social and psychological functioning of children and their families Medical and public health social workers provide psychosocial support to individuals, families, or vulnerable populations so they can cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses Mental health and substance abuse social workers assess and treat individuals with mental illness or substance abuse problems Other types of social workers include social work administrators, researchers, planners and policymakers, who develop and implement programs to address issues such as child abuse, homelessness, substance abuse, poverty, and violence Different types of social workers Other types of Human service fields of work Elderly Care Assistance
Youth care work
Drug and alcohol treatment counseling
Foster Parents
Children and Youth
Parole officers
etc. Why human services is important to everybody you never know when you or someone you know may need assistance
they don't discriminate against anyone
they are there to truly help you
everything is strictly confidential
we all need a little help every now and then, and it's okay to admit it.
