Devise a plan to achieve goals in a systematic manner
Set your priorities right, take a look back at your previous years and always strive to make a better change each year.
Start where you want to end and work your way backwards
Eg. plan according to these questions:
How to study smart?
How to play hard?
ITE College West has a SMART goal for me!

What does SMART stands for? Find out now...

Start
The burning passion and ambition to excel
Have a vision to succeed
Start to make positive choices eg. wake up early and attend all lessons punctually
To set out a plan to achieve desired goals
Map out a plan
Act
Follow the plan that has been set out
Initiate action to work towards goals and ambitions
Determine each action you will need to reach that goal
Examples
Study smart by using mind maps, flash cards and study groups
Play hard by taking part in interesting CCAs eg. Track and Field and National/International competitions
Responsible
Being on time for class
Adhering to school rules and regulations
Take ownership for own work
Have respect for own self, peers and teachers
Adhere to the discipline of studying hard and full attendance
Balance between CCA and studies
Target
Set targets to aim for
High but achievable targets that can spur and motivate
By setting sharp, clearly defined goals, you can measure and take pride in the achievement of those goals.
Examples
Get GPA above 3.5 to get into a good polytechnic eg. S'pore Poly.
Must have backup plan to get minimum GPA 2.0 to get into Republic Poly.
